anyways, my sincere apologies. It's been wwwwaaaaayyyy too long. Between Sonquest, softball postseason, start of school for the teens, and putting together the fall calendar, not only has my blogging time decreased but my overall computer time has decreased. Nonetheless, here I am with a few ponderings...
First, Mike Vick is a big ole banana flake.
Second, Chocolate flavored Chex cereal is tastier than I suspected it would be.
Third, Jacobs ladder is quite possibly the toughest exercise machine I have ever been on. Seriously, I'm just guessing here, but I probably burned more calories on that thing in 5 minutes than I burn on a treadmill for 15 minutes. Our YMCA has one that I've been using a lot lately and I feel better than I have in a long time, that thing is getting me in shape fast.
Been reading the book of Revelation a lot lately. I've probably read it through 3-4 times on and off in the past 10 days or so. I can't really give you a good reason why I've focused on it lately. I can promise you that I'm growing from it though. The "new heaven and new earth" leave me anxious to know God more.
I also finished reading Rob Bell's Velvet Elvis. Rob Bell to me has always been one of the more thought provoking guys out there concerning spirituality. But that book kind of disappointed me. It might be because I set my expectations too high, but it's most likely due to the fact that a good chunk of his material in that book overlaps with his NOOMA videos. The book does have some great points however that will get you thinking. I'll still probably read Sex God though.
That's it for me, I need more chocolate chex!
